Getting Started

Access

Chinilla is a web application. No installation required. Open it in any modern browser:

chinilla.com/workspace

Works on Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge. Your designs are saved locally in the browser by default.

Mobile (PWA)

Chinilla ships a touch-optimized mobile experience. On a phone, the app automatically opens at /m/workspace?id=<project> with:

• Canvas tab: pinch-to-zoom, pan, and tap any component for a full detail sheet (metrics, behavior, requirements, scaling, cost, protocol)
• Chat tab: ask Chinilla AI questions about your design (read-only, no edits)
• Info tab: project summary, account, and component list

Install to your home screen

Mobile is a Progressive Web App, so you can pin it like a native app:

• iOS (Safari): tap the Share button, then Add to Home Screen
• Android (Chrome): tap the menu, then Install app (or Add to Home Screen)

Once installed it launches fullscreen with no browser chrome. Native iOS and Android apps are on the roadmap.

Note

Mobile is read-only and chat-first. To create, edit, simulate, or export, open the desktop version: any mobile page links to the matching /workspace?id=<project> URL.

Sign up for Pro

1. Open Chinilla in your browser
2. Click Upgrade to Pro in the sidebar or visit the pricing page
3. Create an account and choose a plan
4. AI features activate immediately

Note

The canvas, runtime playback, behaviors, templates, exports (PNG, SVG, GIF, JSON, System Spec), and cloud saves all work without Pro. You only need Pro for AI-powered features.
